From the Leader

In 2002, I conducted the Minnesota Boychoir on tour in New Zealand. Present Australia New Zealand handled all of our travel arrangements. Simply the trip of a lifetime!  A performance tour like no other enhanced by the high quality of service received from this outstanding performance tour organizer. Since that time, it has been a dream of mine to give the members of my choir a chance to tour Australia and perform at the Sydney Opera House. The opportunity to do so has coincided with our 45th anniversary season that we will celebrate in Sydney as well as Brisbane and Cairns. I know it to be a a warm and friendly part of the world - ideal for touring with young and old alike.

Your high standard of musical excellence would be a huge asset to the success of this wonderful musical opportunity…a chance for young men's voices to be heard in one of the world's best known venues for music.

Highlights of the World Voices Australia Young Men's track include:

  • Sightseeing, 3.5 - 4 star hotels, comfortable transport and selected meals
  • The possibility of extending your tour and time in Australia

Vision

The World of boys and young men's voices is special and no-one knows this better than Mark Johnson, Director of the Minnesota Boychoir. World Voices Australia salutes young men's choirs for their particular achievements and sounds. WVA is a program that nurtures and uplifts. Moments on the Opera House stage that these young men will never forget. Exchanges with people of different cultures to promote international harmony and understanding. Paced in a way that suits the security needs and traveling style of choirs that may have younger members.

The Young Men's track of the festival is open to your entire ensemble or as few as 10 singers (including treble and changed voice boys and young men, ages 10-18).
