From the Leader

It has been a dream of mine (shared with many of you I know) to perform on the stage of this renowned Concert Hall so I was delighted to have been invited to lead this track. The World Voices Australia International Choral Festival is the best way I can think of to realize this dream.

Australia is as warm and inviting a destination for children's choirs that you could find anywhere in the world. We will be interacting with people of great musical integrity and passion as well as gentle disposition. We will have a chance to perform in one of the greatest music halls ever built. I would love to have you on board this magical adventure with me!

Highlights of the World Voices Australia Children's track include:

  • 15-minute performance by your choir on the Concert Hall stage of the Opera House
  • Participation in rehearsals and workshops for the Children's track massed performance piece and performance of the piece as our track's concert finale - it is proposed that we perform one of Rollo Dilworth's  compositions as the massed piece
  • Participation in rehearsal and performance for the festival massed performance (Hope For Resolution), featuring voices from other streams, including young men's, women's, church and community choirs
  • Separate shared performances in Sydney or in some of Australia's other amazing cities, Melbourne, Gold Coast/Brisbane, Cairns (Great Barrier Reef and Rainforest) or New Zealand
  • Sightseeing, 3.5 - 4 star hotels, comfortable transport and selected meals

Vision

A program that nurtures and uplifts. A musical adventure that is infused with the magic of Rollo Dilworth. Moments on the Opera House stage that these young people will never forget. Exchanges with people of different cultures to promote international harmony and understanding. Paced in a way that suits the security needs and traveling style of Children's choirs. Both SSAA and SATB choirs are welcome to register their interest now.
